Investigating Atheism - Terms of Use

These Terms of Use set out the terms and conditions for use of the Investigating Atheism website of the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Divinity, Psychology and Religion Research Group (PRRG), Investigating Atheism Project (‘our/the site’), which apply to all visitors to our site. If these Terms of Use are not accepted in full, the User (‘you’) does not have permission to access our site and therefore should cease using the site immediately.

The site is operated by the Investigating Atheism Project (‘we’ or ‘us’). We may amend these Terms of Use at any time. Any revised terms of use will take effect immediately from the time they are published on our site. Your continued use of our site will be deemed acceptance of updated or amended terms.

Permitted and prohibited use of Content

Content means all or any information, documents, text, images, artwork, text video, audio, animation or picture files contained and comprised in the site; references to Content shall mean the whole or any part thereof.

All Content in the site is protected by internationally recognised laws of copyright and intellectual property.

Permission is hereby granted to access, download and print a single copy of the Content for private study and research, provided that such copying is for personal non-commercial purposes only and not for any direct or indirect commercial advantage and that any copyright notice/s within the Content appear in any copy of the Content.

Except as permitted above and use under statutory allowances, you undertake not to copy, reproduce, publish, store in any medium (including extraction into any other website, database, compilation, or computer program), generate collections, distribute, transmit, retransmit, modify, manipulate, alter, rent, lease, or lend or broadcast or show any part of the site or the Content without our prior written permission and/or from the copyright holder/s as identified.

You agree to obtain written permission from all appropriate rights owner/s if you wish to copy or use Content in whole or in part for a direct or indirect commercial purpose or for uses beyond those permitted.

You may provide hyperlinks to the site home page without prior written consent from us. Such hyperlinks must display the home page in the same form as the site, without amendment or framing.

Trademarks

The trademarks of the University of Cambridge and any third party displayed on the site are the registered and unregistered trademarks of the same. Nothing contained in the site shall be taken, construed and/or considered as a grant of a licence or right to use the trademarks displayed on the site without the prior written permission of the owner/s.

Disclaimer and No Warranty

The site may contain advice, opinion, statements or other information by various authors or organisations. We do not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any such advice, opinion, statement or other information provided by any other person or entity. Reliance upon any such advice, opinion, statement or other information is at your own risk and we therefore disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials by any user to our site or by anyone who may be informed of any of the Content to the fullest extent permitted by law.

In no event shall we be liable to any party for any of the following losses or damages (whether such losses be foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): loss of data, loss of revenue or anticipated profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill or injury to reputation, loss suffered by third parties, any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential loss or damages arising out of the use of the site or use of Content in the site whether or not amended by third parties and regardless of form of action.

Severability

If any of these terms of use should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any country in which these terms of use are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within that jurisdiction in which that term of use is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms of use and the remaining terms of use shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

The site may contain links to third party websites ('Linked Sites'). The Linked Sites are not owned or controlled by us and we are not responsible for the contents of any Linked Site, including without limitation any changes or updates to a Linked Site. We are not responsible for webcasting or any other transmission received from any Linked Site, nor are we responsible if the Linked Site is not working properly, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement of any site or any association with its operators. Governing Law

These terms and all questions of construction, interpretation, validity and performance under these terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
